EDA at the 2017 Victorian Open Championships
The 2017 Victorian Open Championship were held at MSAC 20-22 January.
EDA was represented by Lushavel Stickland, Dom Scholtes, Baden Coxsedge, Brianna Donato and Chloe McKeon with coaches Marcus, Marcelo and Dom.
Of particular note, our Club Captain Lushavel qualified for the finals (top 10) in all of her three events!
Lush lined up against 2016 Olympians Emma McKeon, Leah Neale and Kotuku Ngawati in the 100m freestyle final; Madison Wilson in the 100m backstroke final; Emma McKeon, Leah Neale and Kotuku Ngawati in the 50m freestyle final.
Other 2016 Olypmians competing at the meet were David McKeon, Taylor McKeown, Mack Horton, Josh Beaver, Jacob Hansford, Grant Irvine, Jake Packard, Daniel Smith & Madison Wilson.
It was an invaluable and inspiring experience for our swimmers.
EDA Shines at Victorian Relay Competition
EDA entered 2 relay teams to compete at the Victorian Relay Competition, a Senior Boys Team and a Junior Girls Team. Both teams swam a freestyle and medley relay each with some fantastic times being swum!

This is a Swimming Australia initiative to recognise and reward the effort put in by swimmers over the 2015/2016 swim year.
Swimmers aged 9-16 years who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia qualify for Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
