Welcome to Essendon District Aquatic

Essendon District Aquatic (EDA) aims to see swimmers develop to their full potential and to provide a positive environment to nurture the development of self-esteem, competitive experience and lasting friendships for all club members. It is the vision of Essendon Aquatic to be a recognised leader in the promotion and support of competitive swimming in the local community. The club seeks to assist its members in any way it can, to achieve their individual and varied swimming goals.

The club has been in continuous existence since the early 1990s. Over this period it has been known under several names: Strathmore Aquatic, Moonee Valley Aquatic and now Essendon District Aquatic. Throughout its history, the club has been closely aligned with Elite Swimming Performance, who are recognised leaders in learn-to-swim and swim coaching. Through this affiliation we have access to three training venues across Melbourne’s North West; Elite Swimming Performance facilities in Pascoe Vale and Brunswick, and the Victoria University Pool at the Footscray Campus.

The club is proud of its’ inclusive program offering excellent opportunities for swimmers from junior development to State and National levels. We continue to grow year by year and are very excited about what the future holds for all of our swimmers
